Project: large solar park in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, we are currently developing a large solar park. On the site of a former factory, a new solar park will soon see the light of day and hopefully a lot of sunlight. Under the solar panels there is space for growing crops. Thanks to the supply of ramming poles, among other things, KS Systems is at the heart of this sustainable initiative. We are applying Magnelis ZM800 here for the first time. By the end of 2023, the project should be ready for use.
Scoop with Magnelis ZM800
During the preliminary phase, the initiator of this project contacted KS Systems because they were looking for a company that produces cold-formed profiles. After an extensive inventory, we started working out concrete plans. We developed a C-profile with Magnelis ZM800. This provides optimal protection against corrosion and it ensures that we have received a 25-year warranty on the product from ArcelorMittal. This is the first project we have used this material for.
Years of development
The material requires a substantial investment, and the client and financier wanted certainty about the life of the material. ArcelorMittal's product is the result of an intensive development process. On-site soil testing was done to determine the thickness of the zinc coating and steel required to achieve a 25-year warranty. We developed the ramp posts and the upper structure was developed by another party, but is produced by us. An important advantage in production is that the ramps do not have to be post-galvanized. This saves quite a few operations and is therefore more cost-efficient and sustainable.

Nieuw procedé voor rampalen
In Nederland ontwikkelen we op dit moment een groot zonnepark. Op het terrein van een voormalige fabriek ziet een nieuw zonnepark binnenkort het daglicht en hopelijk veel zonlicht. Onder de zonnepanelen is ruimte voor het telen van gewassen. Dankzij de levering van onder meer de rampalen staat KS Systems aan de basis van dit duurzame initiatief. We passen hier voor het eerst Magnelis ZM800 toe. Eind 2023 moet het project klaar zijn voor gebruik.
Primeur met Magnelis ZM800
In de aanloopfase nam de initiator van dit project contact met KS Systems op, omdat ze zochten naar een bedrijf dat koudgevormde profielen produceert. Na een uitgebreide inventarisatie zijn we concrete plannen gaan uitwerken. We hebben een C-profiel ontwikkeld met Magnelis ZM800. Dat beschermt optimaal tegen roestvorming en het zorgt ervoor dat we 25 jaar garantie op het product hebben gekregen van ArcelorMittal. Dit is het eerste project waarvoor we dit materiaal inzetten.
Jarenlange ontwikkeling
Het materiaal vergt een flinke investering en de opdrachtgever en financier wilden zekerheid omtrent de levensduur van het materiaal. Het product van ArcelorMittal is het resultaat van een intensief ontwikkelingsproces. Ter plekke is grondonderzoek gedaan om te bepalen welke dikte de zinklaag en het staal moeten hebben om een garantie van 25 jaar te verkrijgen. Wij hebben de rampalen ontwikkeld en de bovenconstructie is ontwikkeld door een andere partij, maar wordt wel door ons geproduceerd. Belangrijk voordeel in de productie is dat de rampalen niet naverzinkt hoeven te worden. Dat scheelt een flink aantal handelingen en is dus kostenefficiënter en duurzamer.
